Small celebrations in Cebu City: you don't need a ballroom

There's an awkward number in event planning, and it sits somewhere between 10 and 20 people. Too many for your dining table at home. Far too few for a function hall that charges like you're throwing a wedding. So the celebration ends up at a noisy restaurant where half the table can't hear the other half, and the birthday person spends the night waving across a long table.

We think a café is the answer for exactly this size of gathering, and we've set ours up for it.

A corner of the café that's all yours

At Te'Amo, you can reserve a private area of the café for 10 to 20 guests at ₱5,000. The space is yours for the afternoon: your own reserved corner, close enough to the counter that coffee and cake are steps away, far enough that your group can actually talk. People book it for birthdays, baby and bridal showers, barkada reunions, and small team meetings that deserve better than a conference room.

Need more room? For bigger milestones, you can book the whole café for up to 50 guests. Tell us the occasion through the reservation form and we'll sort out the details with you.

Feeding the group: grazing tables and platters

The food question is where small events usually get complicated. Individual orders for 18 people slow everything down, and catering trays feel like an office Christmas party. Our fix is the grazing table: cheeses, cured meats, fruit, dips, and fresh bread styled into one long spread that guests pick at all afternoon. It feeds the group, it looks great in photos, and nobody has to decide anything.

For smaller groups, the sharing platters do the same job on a smaller scale. We quote grazing tables per date and headcount, and we can set them up in the café or bring them to your venue.

The small stuff we like doing

One of our favorite Google reviews came from a guest named Trisha, who celebrated her birthday here and got surprised with a slice of matcha cake from the team. That's the kind of thing a café can do that a rented hall can't. The staff already know the room, the kitchen is right there, and someone on the floor notices it's your birthday.

Add a cake from Pia's kitchen, or fold in a cake painting session to give the party something to do with its hands, and the afternoon plans itself.

That last combination is a favorite. One group of friends made a whole afternoon of it and summed it up better than we ever could: 📸 by @luvv.potion, shared with our thanks.
