For the Regulars
The café to work from in Cebu City (nobody's rushing you)
Everyone who works from a laptop in Cebu knows the quiet math of finding a café: is the wifi actually fast, or fast for the first ten minutes? Is there an outlet, or will you spend the session watching your battery die? And the big one, the unspoken one, how long can you sit here before a look from the staff tells you it's time to order again or leave?
We built Te'Amo to fail all three of those worries. Fast free wifi, outlets at the seats, and a kitchen open 6am to 10pm, every day. Come for an hour or come for the whole afternoon. Your table doesn't come with a time limit.
What makes a café actually workable
There's a difference between a café that lets you work and a café that's good to work from. The first tolerates you. The second is built for you. Cebu has plenty of the first. Here's what we think the second one needs, and what you'll find on our floor:
- Wifi you can trust for a call. Not just "there's wifi," but wifi that holds through a Zoom meeting and a big file upload. We keep an eye on it, because we work from here too.
- Power where you sit. Outlets you can reach without crawling under a table or unplugging a lamp. Bring your charger; the wall is ready for it.
- Hours that respect a real day. Night-shift folks starting at 6am, students grinding until close, freelancers on a client's timezone. From 6am to 10pm, the door's open and the kitchen's on.
- A seat you'd actually choose. Big windows, yellow chairs, natural light, and a pet-friendly floor. If Amber, our café dog, wanders over, consider it a productivity break.
A café that lets you work tolerates you. A café that's good to work from is built for you.
What to order for a long session
The trick to a long session is pacing your orders so you're comfortable, not wired. Start with an Americano, one of our Google reviewers called it "strong taste, great choice of beans," and we've been quietly proud of that ever since. When the focus dips around merienda, the all-day breakfast is still on: garlic rice and eggs reset a stalling afternoon better than another coffee does. And when the work's done, the cookies-and-cream pancakes are the reward you promised yourself at 2pm. You can browse the whole menu here before you come.
Where to find your desk
We're on the 2nd floor of Hotel One along Juana Osmeña St. in Cebu City, a short walk from the Fuente Osmeña area and an easy trip from IT Park or the universities. Come solo with headphones, or bring the team for a working lunch that quietly turns into the afternoon. Weekends fill up and the window seats go first, so if you're set on a particular spot, reserve a table ahead.
Rather work from home today? We still make the coffee run to you, across Cebu through Grab and foodpanda.
Open every day, 6:00am to 10:00pm. Free wifi and outlets throughout. Save a seat if you're planning a long one.
